Inaugural BPF Scholar Jared Lindo Presented $1,000
Jared Lindo, the inaugural Bulldog Pride Fund scholar, was publicly honored at the Fresno State Alumni Association’s Top Dog Alumni Awards Gala which took place on Oct. 13 at the Save Mart Center. Held annually since 1952, the “Top Dog” has become Fresno State’s most-prestigious event. That evening, Lindo, a sophomore studying civil engineering, was presented a check for $1,000 to assist with his studies, which was witnessed by 600 guests. He immediately donated five percent of his scholarship back to the BPF to “support a Fresno State student in the future.” Congratulations, Jared. We're proud of you. And, thank you for your support!

BPF Donations Top $21,000
As of Oct. 15, with the support of more than 200 individuals, the Bulldog Pride Scholarship Fund at Fresno State has accumulated a total of $21,483.14 in donations. Since July 1, slightly more than $8,100 has been contributed to the BPF which represents 61 percent overall growth within the past four months. If you’re already a donor, thank you for your continued generosity. If you haven’t donated yet, your support is most welcome. Donations are 100 percent tax-deductible.

Apply for 2007-08 BPF Scholarship
The Scholarship Office at Fresno State is currently accepting applications for the 2007-08 academic year. Entering or existing, undergraduate or graduate students that have “demonstrated pride in the community” are eligible to apply for the BPF scholarship. The application period closes on November 31, 2006. [Online]
